The nonprofit Hawai’i Charitable Foundation REALTORS launched its second annual car #OneCanIfCan to help support Hawai’i food banks on Thursday.

Perishable groceries can be donated to dozens of locations across the country, as well as to supermarket collection points, until August 31, 2021. A full list of locations is available at Monetary donations will also be accepted. All donations will benefit from the respective food banks on the island.

“The Hawaiii Realtors Charitable Foundation recognizes the incredible strain our food banks have during the COVID-19 pandemic as one in six Hawaii residents struggles with hunger,” said Moana Andersen, the foundation’s president. “Even a small donation makes a big difference in helping feed families in need.”

The Hawaiii Realtors Charitable Foundation raised $ 14,000 in cash donations and 3, 3,700 worth of non-perishable food items during the first food machine in September and October 2020. This year the foundation hopes to provide tens of thousands of meals to food banks of the island, with a goal of raising $ 50,000 and ,000 8,000 worth of food. According to Hawai’i Foodbank, a $ 10 donation helps provide food for 25 meals.
